Happy Anniversary to Me, Plus Fun and a Giveaway for You!

It’s hard for me to believe, but this week marks the one year anniversary of Crazy Organic Mama! The year has flown by, and I’ve learned so much about social media, how to build a website and blogging in general, it’s just incredible!

I’d like to thank you all for being here and for making this such a fun year! I’ve “met” so many wonderful people here and through my email list, it’s been a great time.

anniversary

I’m excited about the upcoming months and what I have planned for you. I hope you’ve enjoyed the ride as much as I have and that you’ll stick around for lots more!

This post contains affiliate links. When you make a purchase through one of these links, I receive a small commission. This does not affect your purchase price.

Today, in celebration of my one year anniversary, I’m going to give you something. Sounds like a plan, right?

First, you have a scavenger hunt to complete below. Don’t worry, it’s not hard. I’ll give you lots and lots of hints to make it fun and easy.

Once you complete all 11 questions (10 + 1 bonus question just for fun), fill in your info in the box at the bottom of the post to get the answers via email. (NOTE: The box is ALL THE WAY at the bottom, under the pinnable images. That’s where the program puts it and I can’t change it because I’m not that tech saavy!). Everyone who completes the questions and fills in their info will go into a drawing for a FREE copy of my Ultimate Printable Garden Journal!

AND, I’m not only giving away one copy. There will be a monthly drawing starting December 1, 2019 and ending May 1, 2020. That’s 6 giveaways and 6 chances to win! You only have to sign up once, you’ll be in the drawing each month from your single entry.

scavenger hunt

So, ready for the scavenger hunt? Here we goooooo……!!!!!

BIG HINT: Most answers can be found by clicking the search icon in the bar at the top of the page and typing in a keyword. For instance, if you need to know about cucumbers, type in “cucumbers” and you’ll see all of the posts referencing cucumbers.

Question 1.

Am I a mom? If so, how many kids do I have, and are they boys or girls?

Hint: You can find the info by clicking on my pic on the right side of the page and reading “About Me”.

Question 2.

What is one item on my Garden Wish List?

Hint: Random Musings might be a good place to start.

Question 3.

red dragonfly

Do I think you should try to attract dragonflies to your garden? If yes, give me a reason why.

Question 4.

Where did I go to college?

Hint: “About Me” will help you with this.

Question 5.

Name 3 veggies I featured in my “Crop of the Week” series this summer.

Hint: Clicking on “Outdoor Plants” in the menu should give you a leg up.

Also, if you’d like all the Crop of the Week posts in one convenient, downloadable PDF, you can purchase that here.

Question 6.

What was your favorite craft of the ones I featured this year on the blog?

finished large reusable bag

P.S.– Maybe you haven’t checked the crafts out yet. Why not do that now? If you need a quick gift for a coworker or friend this holiday season, you might just find exactly what you’re looking for!

Question 7.

Speaking of favorites, what’s my favorite fertilizer?

Question 8.

Is there a subscribers’ only section on the blog?

Hmmmmm…..if there is……it *might* contain a FREE Resource Library with loads of goodies for my subscribers. When you fill in your info below to go into the drawing, you’ll also get instant access to this library, plus a weekly email newsletter with happenings around the blog.

Note: If you’re already a subscriber, you can still enter below. You won’t receive duplicate emails.

Question 9.

Is there a post on the blog about growing poinsettias?

variegated poinsettia

Question 10.

What was one of my garden failures this year?

Yup, even experienced gardeners have failures every year. The great thing is, though, that every failure helps you have future success. Don’t ever feel bad or like you should give up when something doesn’t go right. Just change things up a bit and try again!

For instance, I’ve discovered through bitter experience that my young sunflower plants are a well-loved meal for some form of chewing creature in my garden (maybe rabbits, maybe groundhogs, maybe deer, I’m not sure). What this taught me was that I had to grow them inside a fence.

This year, they were in my garden and put on a beautiful show for me (and anyone driving by, they were so tall!). The seeds are also serving as great bird food this fall.

Bonus Question

peanut kitty
This is one of my furbabies, Peanut,
but not my only one! How many do I have?

How many furbabies do I have?

Hint: “About Me” may help you with this one too!

One last thing: Maybe your email inbox is so full you just can’t deal with even one more email, and you’re not interested in going into the FREE drawing, but you’d still like the scavenger hunt answers. If so, you can email me directly at [email protected] and I’ll zap a quick email back to you with the answers.

Note that you WON’T be added to my email list if you do this, but you also WON’T be entered in the giveaway.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this rather different post today, and that you’ll enter the giveaway below! If you’d like to spread the word (and I wish you would!), please pin one of the pinnable images below to your Gardening board over on Pinterest.

Thanks for reading, and as always, smile and have a crazy organic day!
